November was a big month around here...Bryan and Ashley had their baby...KADEN. He's so adorable. Makayla just wanted to kiss on him.

Eating is our favorite thing to do now...maybe she'll be able to pack on a few pounds. It's amazing what this kid can eat with only 4 1/2 teeth.

November means snow around these parts, and until this little one is big enough to ski, she'll have to settle for snow tubing around the yard. We truly have lots to be thankful for this year. Cant wait for Christmas when the family can all get together and play.

Summer Fun!!!

WOW, the summer has flown by. I can't believe it. We started with a trip to San Diego. We went for my annual conference, but were able to find time to play. We were able to go to Sea World, The San Diego Zoo and Coronado Bay. It was so much fun...too bad little Makayla was scared of Shamu, she seemed to enjoy the zoo, but absolutely hated the beach. She started crawling during that trip.

Grandma and Grandpa Brusman came to visit in July and we had a ton of fun with them. We went to Yellowstone's Bear and Wolf preserve and just enjoyed spending time together. Makayla started walking the last day Grandma and Grandpa were here and now is getting into everything!!!

Makayla and Addi playing with Addi's shopping cart, they took turns pushing each other around

Riding Addi's horse...it would make Grandpa Goodman so proud...
Our little beach baby....
Makayla's birthday is on Monday and I cant believe our little girl is turning 1!!! Other than that, hunting season has started, which means Ryan is gone a lot. I really do dread hunting season, call me high maintenance...but I really just like having my husband around.

So it's been awhile. Since I last posted, I finished my first real quilt. I made this for Addi's first birthday, even though it wasnt ready until her 13 month birthday. It isnt perfect, but it was a lot of fun. When I think of quilting, I still think of something my great grandmother did, but it's really relaxing and rewarding... Big thanks goes out to Renee for getting me started and teaching me all she knows. Now it's off to my next big project....

Makayla is getting more and more personality...she's so much fun. This video is for those who love her most (grandmas, grandpas and cousin Blake), enjoy!!!

6 Months...

I'm a little late at posting but last week was Makayla's 6 month birthday and checkup...
Weight 13.6 pounds (10%)
Height 26.5 inches (79%)
Head 17 inches (72%)
So she's tall and skinny...but what girl wouldnt want to be. The Doctor doesnt seem to be worried, just said to increase her solids a little. It's amazing to think I've been able to keep another human being alive for 6 months...

She's enjoying her foods...What a messy eater...I think it may have something to do with the one in charge of the spoon...dad loves to feed her...

I got home on Saturday and dad had Makayla dressed, did her hair and had her ready to go out on the town...

If you cant tell...what you're looking at here is what I found this morning when I went to get her up...she's got a toe trying to escape....

Party till you drop...

Bath time with Grandma Goodman

Just hanging out with Grandpa

So it's been a long time. Actually we've done a lot since I last posted. For Christmas, we went to Missouri and partied until we just couldnt stand it anymore...it was so much fun seeing everyone. Makayla loved playing with her cousins. Everyone headed back to Idaho with us for Ryan's brothers wedding. We then had a few days and my parents came out and the party kept going. Needless to say...we were so exhausted that we caught this nasty bug that was going around and 3 1/2 weeks later we're just now getting over it.

Makayla has changed so much. She's constantly moving and now she's on the move...if you call scooting around on the back of your head, moving. Poor little thing, I dont know if that bald spot on the back of her head will ever fill in. She's also learned how to do a back bend...the video below is from today after I got home from work.

Makayla loves to watch tv...and has a great attention span of say 5-10 minutes when she watches the TV. This is one of those moments where she is actually sitting still.

Big Girl....

Makayla is now 4 months old. Her stats have dropped some, so I've been calling her my little runt baby...I'm sure she's going to hit a growth spurt here sometime...come on, has anyone seen her parents? There is no way she's going to stay a little runt baby...
Weight: 11.8 pounds 14%
Height: 24.5 inches 63%
Head: 16.3 inches 62%

We're headed in for minor surgery in the morning. Makayla has had a blocked tear duct since she was a week old and they're going to go in and fix it...the doctor said it will only take about 5 minutes and instead of general anesthesia they will "just gas her till she quits wiggling" (not sure I like the sound of that either). I think the hardest part will be the whole nothing to eat after midnight...I'm going to have one very angry girl on my hands. Has anyone else done that? Will she have a black eye? I sure hope not, we're headed to Missouri for Christmas and we want her to look perfect for Grandma and Grandpa...

After a long day of running errands...let me just say I know how she felt...

Not sure what to think about rice cereal...

May not like the food, but sure liked to play with the spoon...

Oh...a couple weeks ago Makayla decided to help make dinner...what a great little chef!
